David T. Rudman, MD

Dr. David Rudman addresses all areas of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has special expertise in minimally invasive sinus procedures including Balloon Sinuplasty and image-guided sinus surgery. His interest in advanced rhinology extends to skull base surgery, as well. He also performs the latest treatments for obstructive sleep apnea using da Vinci® transoral robotic surgery. Other special skillsets include minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck oncology and CyberKnife robotic stereotactic radiosurgery. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Rhinologic Society.

Dr. Rudman is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has been in private practice with Head and Neck Surgical Associates, PA, since June of 2000 and is on staff at South Kansas City Surgery Center, Mid-America Surgical Institute, Menorah Medical Center, Research Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital. Dr. Rudman serves as Chair of the Otolaryngology departments at Menorah Medical Center and Research Medical Center and has finished his term as President of the Medical Staff of Menorah Medical Center. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 1995 and was the recipient of many awards and honors during medical school, including being elected to the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), as only a junior. His internship in general surgery was at Riverside General Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Rudman completed his ENT residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2000, where he also received many awards and honors. He placed first in the Resident Research Award in 1997 and 2000, and won first place in the nation for clinical research from the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology in 2000.

Dr. Rudman evaluates and treats pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat problems. His primary interest is providing outstanding patient care.

He is a husband and proud father of three who enjoys travel, wine and golf.
